SACD rip via Sony Blu Ray - BPS5100
« on: 19 Aug 2024, 01:12 am »
Happy Sunday all.  I have searched thru this site and cannot locate where this may have been addressed or mentioned.  I have buried my head in forums over the weekend and my search game may be slow at this point.  Can anyone please point in the right direction?  I am using SACDExtract, GUI Autoscript - via Ethernet.

Thanks in advance -

Are you saying you have extracted the ISO file already and just want to extract the (2-channel) DSD file?  At the bottom left of this page is a link to one method - https://www.sonore.us/

Have you followed the directions at Hi Fi Haven?

https://hifihaven.org/index.php?threads/rip-sacd-with-a-blu-ray-player.3652/page-2

You need 5 things:

1) A thumbdrive formatted to FAT32
2) AutoScript for the Sony BPS5100
3) The latest Java Runtime (JRE)
4) SACDExtractGUI  https://hifihaven.org/index.php?threads/rip-sacd-with-a-blu-ray-player.3652/page-15#post-81498
5) The IP address of the Sony

Thank you for replying.  I have all of the components.  I am struggling with the IP side and I have a friend who is going to assist today.  The Blu Ray seems to be operating correctly.  If I insert the USB, the try opens and then I turn off the machine.  I’ll tackle the IP side and report back -

You can use the free Fing to discover all your network addresses. The program needs you to sign up with username and password but it is a painless procedure.

I didn't use Fing because OPPO has the network IP address in the Setup menu. I installed Fing later and it is a pretty cool little program.

I installed an Orbi Wi-Fi system last week and it is setting my IP’s to a 10. string.  I’m going to reset everything and hope that the Wi-Fi will correct itself back to normal.

Got things working.  I needed to adjust the Blu Ray to a wired connection.  Had the wrong program location trying to run as well.  Fixed!!!

Congrats  :thumb:

What DAC are you using? SACD rips are .dsf and play as DSD64.

I use a HoloAudio May KTE, a NOS DAC that plays DSD natively.
