My new W11 (Intel i5) computer is extremely fast compared to my older computer (i3) despite the slower CPU speed for the i5. I was worried about speed but all my open tabs load quickly when I restart. I credit the extra cores and cache.

I have never seen ads in Windows 11. No need to pay money to stop ads. But if you want a program to do it for you then Ashampoo and their products have been around for a long time and are safe.

Click on the 4-pane Windows logo or type "Settings" without quotes into the oval search box next to the Windows logo, bottom left of task bar
Click on Settings to open menu screen
Look for "Personalization" and "Privacy and Security"
Turn stuff off you don't want

I always decline Window 11 update. Perhaps a time will come that I'll have too whether I like it or not.
For Adblock I'm using Chrome as well I have Adblock on my Firewall- TotalAV.

I have two computers, an i7 which I use for gaming, games that require fast processing to run smooth, like Need for Speed. And an i5 which I use most of the time to surf the net, gaming occasionally that doesn't require as much speed to run smoothly like Call of Duty. This is a good computer for most stuff MSI- Trident. I hesitated to buy it at the time because of the price but I'm glad I did, I wish it had a cd drive though.

If I have to upgrade my i7 in the future because the Motherboard is not up to date with newer computers. I will get a MSI Trident 3 i7.

   I don't want to leave a false impression that gaming speed depends on whether you're using an i5 or i7. The speed of the graphics card is a much bigger factor.
  I upgraded my graphics card in my i7 to a Geforce GTX Super 1660. Though it is not top of the line as to what's out there it is fast enough to eliminate the lag I was experiencing playing Formula 1. With the old card what was happening particularly when cornering hairpin turns. The turn steering was extremely slow, stuff like that. With the new card that's no longer an issue. With Need For Speed, I don't have to comprimize with other game features such as frame rates, resolution, etc..

I installed ashampoo. As far as I can tell it does exactly nothing.

I purchased a lifetime license for AdGuard a few years ago and loved it so much that I purchased additional licenses for some family members. AdGuard is a system-wide adblocker (as opposed to a browser extension) with clients for Windows, Mac, Linux, and Android. Being system-wide, it blocks ads from any browser on your system and on Android even blocks ads in apps.
