Introduction: farm-to-table speakers?
« on: 10 Aug 2024, 03:59 am »
I am introducing myself.

I have a passion project to bring great sounding, handcrafted speakers sourced as locally as possible to audiophiles.  I started the company EasternBaySound, and you can view the initial products and philosophy at EasternBaySound.com.

The speakers all have in solid inner acoustic box of Baltic birch surrounded by and outer box of handcrafted hardwoods.

Please let me know your thoughts!

Beautiful stuff!
Last year I decided I wanted to make a pair of solid hardwood towers as a "legacy" project I could leave to my kids. I chose mahogany for its stability and asked Lou Hinkley at Daedalus for some guidance, which he generously shared. Your box-in-a-box approach sounds like a great idea.
I hope we can get over the prevalence of "disposable" audio gear. Quality equipment like yours will help!
