WTL Thread belts

Howdy,

A quick note about the thread to use for making current generation WTL belts. I've found that the Coats Transparent (nylon) works even better and lasts longer than the previously suggested Coats Transparent (poly).

The spool label looks Like:

Curiously, I have only been able to find this thread at Walmart stores. Nowhere else (so far). it comes in clear or black.

Here shows the best way to do the knot:

I happen to have some of this, it does last a lot longer and seems to provide a bit better control of platter for consistent speed, resulting in better pace/timing.
The nylon thread is 0.005", the prior poly thread if I remember correctly was 0.004" (could be wrong, I can't find my old spool to look it up). Product number for the transparent nylon thread is AD67 size/color 5/0000C for clear, UPC on my spool is 0 73650 875670 but this may have changed over time.
I think this is a correct link for the product at walmart:

black https://www.walmart.com/ip/Coats-Clark-Nylon-Monofilament-Dark-Transparent-Thread-300-Yards/19238366

I bought the last roll in town about a month ago (I also only think it is at Walmart) at the time. I got a piece of wood about 2 ft long and put a nail and thumbtack in for a template and that makes it fairly easy to make these "belts" other than trying to see this almost invisible thread and then tying the knot. I've seen the NZ video on the knot they want you to use but I'm not sure I could do it with this thread so I just do a double square knot (over and thru 4 times).

Edit: Just went to Walmart near me and found two rolls of the clear and several rolls of black.

Black might be easier to work with (for visually impaired old guys).
