Hi Gentlemen,



I have a friend in Dallas that has been buying used audio gear from me, he had two Classe' amps and a Theta Casanova.
His Classe' 25 failed, and since he didn't have a sense of humor for a new Bryston, I found him a 9BSST on eBay for $1200 shipped.

He got it delivered yesterday, and called me about his listening experience. He was speechless at first, not like him at all. Then as I questioned him, he started by saying "I am so incredibly happy! I never knew that just an amplifier change could make such an incredibly large difference. I love it!".

I know that you guys know how good the equipment you design and manufacture is, but it probably doesn't hurt to hear it once and awhile. You've got a new Bryston fan now.

Just an amplifier change? That's funny. Julian Hirsch used to say that below a certain level, I think it was 0.1% or maybe 0.01%, distortion is inaudible and all amplifiers therefore sound the same. I'm sure that on his undoubtedly good system more than 50 years ago, that is what he experienced.

Since Classe uses Class A, a poor choice for an audio amplifier, moving to an original 3B would be a startling upgrade.
