Subaru Solterra as an EV option?

I am not an EV fan. But, I like the way it looks like a normal SUV and not weird like Teslas.

Is it really an SUV or a car with an identity crisis? Hard to tell from online pictures. I can put a lot in my 2004 Highlander because it is tall and the rear end (hatch) is vertical. I could fit my recumbent bike in it easily. I also hauled a pair of Magico A5s in their boxes. Later Highlanders are even longer and too large for my current needs. My eye is on a RAV4 if they ever go all EV.

The height of the Solterra and the sloped back end make me think it would not haul much cargo. I don't think it makes it as an SUV. It does make it as a car with extra room.

The Solterra looks like an SUV and sedan made a baby.

Lines are blurred in today's vehicles. There are no more station wagons, but they have extended hatchbacks like the Imprezza. Crossovers like the Crosstrek are small sporty SUVs that drive like a car. That Solterra is just a small SUV.

Just curious on it being viable EV.

One good thing about the Solterra (and it's Toyota sibling) is that they've figured out how to keep the wheels from falling off now.

Most, if not, all car brands have had recalls.

I did have a look at the slope of the back. That doesn't bother me as much but I get it..
