Any thoughts of modding higher powered Tripath/digital amps?

Just curious, Vinnie- have you considered mods to other digi-amps (eg JVC & Panny receivers, Teac, Carver, etc).  And any thought of building some monoblocks based on higher powered chips?

I'd really be curious to see what you would do with the new JVCs, for instance.  Many have spoke fondly of the older ones, and I like the idea of a nice sounding amp with a USB input.

Hi Rob,

Yes, I have performed an extensive, all-battery modification to the Teac:

Regarding monoblocks, I'm sure if I just mod the center channel board of the Teac, these would make for a SWEET pair of monoblocks!

If you scroll down, I am now offering a built-in DAC option.  I also just received an M-Audio USB to SPDIF converter, which would allow for the USB input that you crave.  I just need to test it out  :hyper:

Regards,
