Khartago Amps on Stillpoints

Anyone using Stillpoints to isolate their amplifiers? Curious if it was successful. Also curious as to the thread pitch of the odyssey feet posts.

Thanks

Surely someone has tried this or other isolation techniques?  Anyone?

I've used Stillpoints SS on PS Audio BHK250, PSA Audio M1200 monos, and Luxman M700u amplifiers. They have little to no effect on the Luxman, a great deal of effect of the M1200 mono amps, and some effect on the BHK250. I have tended to use IsoAcoustics Orea's on amplifiers now in preference to Stillpoints. Stillpoints are great on sources, preamps, and power conditioners. There are many, many, choices now for good footers in addition to  Stillpoints.

I have a stock of PolyEthilene medium density bars that I keep when receiving heavy equip on crates, I cut them in 15cm blocks.
They are the best I had found since the 1990s to CD players, TT and amps IMO also cheap.

Both a friend and I tried the smaller Stillpoints under our amplifiers and DAC's. Both amps were vacuum tube designs, mine being a LM 218ia SET. To be honest, perhaps a larger Stillpoint might have yielded different results, but the smaller units were still within the weight limit. Finally in regard to sound, the Stillpoints instilled a clinical nature to the presentation....at least in our experience. We seemed to be missing a degree of warmth. The same results were achieved when placed under my DAC at that time. What yielded better results ....Mad Scientist BlackPods under the amp and IsoAcoustic Indigos under the somewhat heavy LM 502 DAC. This all said, tweaks of this nature are so system dependent ( including the system owner's ear) that one can't really paint with a wide brush. My only advice is to buy from a source that offers an audition with return option.
