Owner opened it up and drew a diagram of x-o, looks like inner connections are input and outer connections are output. Makes sense, in = input;  out = output.

Looking at the picture from the link you posted, you need to run your speaker cable from the amp to the sub on the 2 outer connectors. Then from the inner connectors of the sub to the satellite.
