A former close friend was a locksmith and yes, he could pick any lock as fast as you can open it with a key.  But I agree completely with the other two.

A person who doesn't know kung fu can sneak into a monastery to train, get caught, and punished to fix the monastery's roof.  Spends a year building the bamboo scaffolding, practices while spying on the training , and invents a new technique of fighting.

Someone attacking you with a stool while you are holding a bowl of rice.

Being the better fighter while keeping one of your hands in the exact same position because of your religion.

In the movies, the hero could get captured,  and about to be executed,  but the villain spends time taunting the hero and pontificating about his nefarious plans, allowing time for the hero to escape.

Fighting more than one person at a time.  In real life, the single person gets overwhelmed pretty quickly.  We did this sort of fighting/sparring in Tae Kwon Do and despite the high rank(usually black belt) of the person taking on multiple fighters, typically the single person would not be able to hold off the two for that long.

Er - not sure what world some of y'all are in but none of these are really a stretch. I'd actually be willing to be that all of these have happened at some point (superhero can mean a lot of things).

Or get a limb chopped off with blood spurting all over the place, and carry on like it's no Biggie.
