I don't know about the other things you asked but, as far as I have been able to see on the web interface you will not be able to change any setting. The web interface is basically a mirror of the remote control. And if I’m wrong, PLEASE let me know. I’d love to be able to control those things from the web UI too. 
Correct. The web interface is very basic. Most people don't need to access the kinds of setup functions you refer to on the web page.
