STA-9X / ST-10 XLR and/or SE Input

STA-9X / ST-10 XLR and/or SE Input

The STA-9X and ST-10 have switches to select either SE or XLR inputs.  Can both inputs be connected at the same time (not powered at the same time) and the switch used to select between one and the other?  It would be interesting to be able to select different pre amps in the system without needing to swap interconnects.

It wasn't designed as a switch. It will work, but having two inputs grounded together even when one is not active, could affect the sound. Worst if you accidentally turn on both inputs.
