Our buddy "Hal", is on his way to an audio festival

It's probably boring driving a van from Maryland to Texas, and that van probably barely has a radio in it. You know how long distance driving radio channel surfing is. You might find a classic rock station or a classic hits station, but that only lasts for a little bit.

Looking at his updates; it doesn't seem he's driving very long. He keeps stopping just to stop. Yes, we all need a break (gas/eat/drink/pee/stretch). But, it's not that the BBQ is so good, he's bored.

Driving sucks. I have driven long distances to the Carolinas, Ohio, and Georgia. Thank God I have XM Radio in my personal car, but I know how it is driving in an no-frills vehicle is like. Sometimes you need some quiet time to talk/think to yourself, but you can only drive without music for so long before you snap.

Hal needs music! Let's make him a list. A list, of good ole fashioned driving music. Energetic driving music. No classical, no jazz, no opera, no folk music. He will hear and play that all weekend. He needs music that makes you drum on the steering wheel, sing louder than you would in the shower, press down harder on the gas pedal, and get there faster (and happier).

I have had time to study it, and I have come to a important decision: from now on, his nickname is "AL". When you go to his audio festival room or his industry section, be sure to great him (private message him, email him, phone him, knock on his door, shoult from acros the room/street, shake his hand, pound fists, pat him on the back/shoulder, embrace him, whatever you have to do...

...and call him "AL".
