think you all missed my point.

My point was that the same people who are fighting against the NuForce Circle are going to be bitching because there will be posts regarding NuForce in Circles that they deem inappropriate. This is a traditionally liberal thing to do.

i agree w/everything above, except you need to insert the word "conservative" in place of liberal.

Quote from: Hantra
Example: Whine and cry that we aren't spending enough money on ________ (pick a social welfare program), and then whine and cry now because we are "spending out of control".

wrong.  only conservatives whine about spending outta control.  unless it's for something *they* want.  then, their silence is deafening.  especially when their "borrow & spend" policies run the budget deficit (something they otherwise always complain about) thru the roof...  :o

Quote from: Hantra
Wacko right wingers are guilty as well, but not nearly as much.

In fact the only example I can come up with of late is:

Whine and cry about the Schiavo woman and stage demonstrations, death threats, etc. because of your "choose life" mentality. The next night let's stand outside the prison and cheer when the lights go dim b/c a guy who can still feed himself no longer deserves to live.

not nearly as much?!?    how about complaining about activist judges?  the republicans constantly complain about this - except when the "activism" favors *them*.  i dint hear any republicans complaining when the supreme court gave the election to dubyah back in y2k, by refusing to allow florida's wotes to be counted.  :o  and, yust as recently as in the past coupla daze, tom delay complained about (reagan appointee) justice anthony kennedy.  please spare me the hypocricy...

Quote from: Hantra
It's all the same. I'm just not looking forward to all the whining and crying if NuForce doesn't get a Circle. That's all.

agreed.  except it's completely different.  if nuforce doesn't get a circle, the only ones who will complain are those that really want 'em to get a circle.  whether or not they're liberal or conservative, is completely irrelevant.  kinda like yer 1st inappropriate political remark...  :nono:

doug s., who woted *yes* cuz i am all for top-notch gear at real-world pricing...

Ok, forget about the NuForce circle. But I don't see a "user circles" section. Anyway, forget about the whole circle thing.
Hey, I respect the community rule here.

The vote count is below 75% anyway so I am going to kill the idea.

72% - Yes and 27% - No.

That is a better margin than George Bush 2004 election :).

Obviously people are interested and feel strongly you should have a Circle, Jason.

There is an "Owner's Circles" (oops, not User's Circles) section of AC that you wouldn't have to moderate but could participate in as a support, announcements, etc. type thing... Click on 'Circles' and you should find that section easily.

I'm pretty sure you could delete ridiculous political arguments that have no bearing on the topic if you wanted. ;)

Anyway, if you're saying you want to forget the whole circle idea completely, even after a record high voter turnout, so be it.... your choice.

If you want to stay and have a Owner's Circle, I think you'd have a great way to do what you wanted from the start... Just say if that's what you want or not so we can know what you want.

I'm glad you can appreciate the community aspect of AC.   Click on 'Circles' at the top of the page and look around... and most importantly, participate and enjoy.

Thanks,
Carl

Owner's circle, good idea!  I think we can come to a bipartisan consensus on that.

With a welcome like this, I don't blame Jason one bit if he creates his own Forum from the NuForce website... similar to how SlimDevices, www.slimdevices.com, has done.

too bad,

owners circle sounds good-
i just didnt want another apl-people want answers from the owner who never shows up-if he will take a owners circle it would be easier for nuforce because he wouldnt have to take to much time keeping it active-

hmmm wonder if the apl circle should go into the owners circle area-alex hasnt been back since he said he was going to stick around-

What is the difference between giving them a manufacturer's circle and owners circle!

With the comments that were made regarding nuforce i wouldn't blame them for not wanting to have a circle at all.

As usual in our society the Winging Minority win :nono:

Any chance of closing this thread?

The fact that it seems impossible to simply vote and give a reason without bringing on a buckets of spurious personal abuse makes this whole process a degrading mess.
