New Years Day was beautiful because it rained all day here in the desert. The weather was cold, blustery and wet, perfect to stay indoors and catch up on movies. "Strange World" was perfect to brighten up an unusually dark, cloudy day. At first I had my doubts about this film but after the first 15 minutes it settles into an action packed groove.

The elephant in the room is that Disney's "Strange World" includes Black & LGBTQ characters, I'm OK with that, kids are OK with that, but some adults have their doubts. If you are one of those, skip this film. If you want to rant about the direction family entertainment is going I'll bin this thread.
Small kids will be mesmerized by the primary colors and non-stop action, everything in the background is always moving. The plot involves parents, a teen who whats his independence, efforts to save a dying plant and living in harmony within your world, all the while exploring a totally new strange world.
The animation, creatures and scenery are quite well done, I haven't seen "Avatar 2" yet but while watching "Strange World" I was thinking James Cameron wasted $250M - $400M.
