My guess is that it would be a bad business decision. I assume there is a significant start-up cost involving some R&D to determine what needs to be done. I do not think there is a significant market to justify it anymore. Most of those that bought the JVC have moved on, with the SI iterations being the current favorite. The ES1SL is now two generations old. If somebody were to start modding these JVCs, it would make a lot more sense to do it on the current generation. Just be glad that the stock unit sounds mighty fine without spending a minimum for 5X (since you bought yours for sunder $70 it is more likely closer to 10X) to have Bolder or somebody else mod it for you.
