NU-Foam vs. Open cell foam for sound absorbtion

Question:

Which would be better for treating the inside of speakers cabinets?  Plain old open cell foam, or NU-FOAM which says it's comprised of highly compressed layers of polyester.  The open cell soft foam they have is like the stuff you would put on your bed, the NU_FOAM is like the foam you would use outdoor in the padded seats of your padio set.  Here's a link to NU_FOAM:

I can get both types at walmart, but I'm not sure which will work better.  I seem to remember seeing some polk audio speakers lined with something that looked very similar to nufoam.

Thanks for th help!

I am not familiar with Nu-Foam, but it looks like it is not an open cell material, which would make it completely useless.  Usually a shinier surface is a sign of a closed cell material.

The nu-foam is like Dacron.  I've been told by a source that 1" dacron will work quite well.  BUt I'd like some other opinions.
