Vinyl bought at last weekend's Vinyl Roadshow, great to as new condition and $3 each. There is a much larger record show coming up where the dealers bring all their "A" list stuff along with the latest new vinyl.

Bill Evans - Autumn Leaves (1961)

Stan Getz - Groovin' with Getz (?)

Miles Davis - Quiet Nights, arranged and conducted by Gil Evans (?)

Duke Ellington - The Pianist (1966 & 1970)

Creedence Clearwater Revival - Willy and the Poor Boys (?)

Neil Young - Old Ways (1985)

Jerry Reed - The Man with the Golden Thumb (1982)

Picked up the following discs this week.  All sound great.

Joni Mitchell- Shine
Robert Plant & Allison Krause - Raising Sand
Jennifer Warnes- Famous Blue Raincoat- 20th Anniversary Edition.

The Plant/Krause disc is amazing.  I may have to pick up the vinyl version too!!!!

I absolutely love the Plant/Krause CD.  It's way better than I thought it would be.  Plant doesn't get into any histrionics, which is good.

Mjosef - GREAT choice with the Niyaz disc...  good stuff there.  With my looks though, I've got to be careful who I play it around in this predominantly military area..

I love record swap meets. This weekend's record show must have had over 20 collectors with crates and crates of excellent quality used records, so many albums that it would have taken all day to go through them all. Prices ranged from $2 - $8. After an hour and half I had 14 albums, though I could easily have bought 10 times that number, lacking only time and unlimited funds.

The latest additions to my collection are:

George Harrison - Living in the Material World
Erroll Garner - Erroll Garner
Dave Brubeck - Time In
David Gilmour - David Gilmour
David Gilmour - About Face
Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers - Damn the Torpedoes
Faces - A nod is as good as a wink to a blind horse
Dave Alvin - Romeo's Escape
Neil Young - Neil Young
Dave Brubeck Quartet - Time Changes
Cannonball Adderley - The Best of Cannonball Adderley
Sarah Vaughn - Belt the Hits
Wes Montgomery - Vol. 2 the best of Wes Montgomery

Hey!

I was around Time Sq. NYC today. Had sometime so I walked in to the Virgin. The first thing I alway do is to walk to the vinyl section. Yes, with nothing particular in mind still I ended up walking out with two vinyl sets.  :icon_lol:

Robbie Williams "Greatest Hits" UK Press 2 LPs set. Well, I do like couple of his songs and this is my chance to have them on vinyl LP. :D The sad part was this set cost me $34  :duh:

Jay-Z "The Blueprint" Well, I'm not a really hardcore rap/hip-hop fan but I used to listen to this with my brother in his car. It was hard to find this on vinyl than but I think it is now in print again.

Just cleaned them will have to listen to them another day.

Take care,
Buddy :thumb:
