Last evening, I finished assembling the first X-LS. This is my first attempt at DIY audio.
I fired it up and immediately knew something was off. I used a tone generator on my phone and ran through the frequencies. The whole top end was gone! Double Dag Nabbit!!
This morning I found the problem. Input is attached to woofer inductor but broke from the first resistor of the tweeter circuit.
Lesson learned, use care during assembly OR better, provide some strain relief.
I've ordered a replacement resistor. Till it arrives I suppose I will have to be like "the site that shall not be named" and evaluate one speaker.
Miles sounds pretty good through one speaker though.
