They're not the most stable, but they're a solid piece, so easy enough to work with.

Can't imagine using risers on the hardwood. Carpet, maybe as there's some static present.

I never thought I would be a cable riser guys either. Give it a try. Grab some cardboard,  as on jars or some glasses out of the cupboard. Glad is an excellent insulator. You can try it for basically nothing.

I heard a small change on a mix of hardwood and a little carpet. Even if it is placebo for $20, I’ll take it 😁

I do wonder how many tweaks can make huge changes in separation, clarity and deepen the soundstage. If they all worked my neighbor would be asking me to get my soundstage out of his yard.

Then again I made cable risers. Have fun and try it if it is free…ish

I use CD and DVD cases, half way open like a tent. Small hardback books would also work well. Just thought I would try it as I have plenty of cases around and why not. I tried it and I'm not going back.

Something I made for a friend.
The square one is 2 PC one.
Made of teak wood.
He was happy with it mainly as he could neatly lay down his speaker cables.
He could not tell me how well they improved the sound as he also changed his speakers at the same time and was playing with the positioning

I use these ceramic light sockets ($2.25 at Home Depot) after removing their wires and connectors to keep all cables off of the carpet.

I purchased 16 ounce insulated paper cups to use as cable risers. Raises the cables 5 1/4 inches off the floor and seems to work fine.
