Hey Tyson, thanks for the response. Can you specify what it is? AC limited my account a few months ago and I can't access the classifieds.
Hey everybody, I have the GR Research NX-Treme's in my main listening room. I've tried several different amps/preamps/integrated amps in the system to include PS Audio BHK Pre with BHK 250 amp, Doge 10 tube integrated, Benchmark AHB2, Neurochrome Mod 86 v3 chip amp, Lyngdorf TDAI-2170, and the PrimaLuna Evo 300 integrated amp.
http://www.dsachsconsulting.com/valhalla%20integrated.htmlFor $3850 plus shipping.
Can anyone tell me what Tyson recommended? I still can't open that link so I have no idea.
Opnly - that option looks extremely interesting. I trust Clayton's opinion and he had glowing things to say about it. The price on the website is $4695 - is he selling them at a discount? Have you heard this unit yourself? If so, what were your impressions?
Also, while I do find the amp to be pretty "holographic" with a 3D soundstage - I'm looking for even more of that. I like things on the warm side and detest harshness. The main option I was looking at was the Line Magnetic 845 Premium. However, it is basically unavailable right now and the 219ia is 220v (I need 120v). A dealer recommended the BAT vk80i to me and I wondered what the opinions of people on this site were with regards to the BAT, The Line Magnetic stuff (also the 845ia if people have experience with it) and how those might compare to the PrimaLuna I already own.
It is the used amplifier, thus the discount, that Tyson recommended via the AC for sale link. Now sold.
