Paradox 1 Speaker Grills???

Forgive my ignorance, but, I am considering buying a used pair of P1s to try and was wondering if grills were ever an option. The speakers will be in a living room and must have grills on when not doing serious listening. Any info or suggestions? Thanks.

Prior to Danny discontinuing the Paradox 1's I don't believe the paradox 1's were ever offered with grills, just the AV-1's if I'm not mistaken

Woofer size is the same...just wondering if it's an option. I tried e-mailing GR Research, but no answer yet...

Sorry for the delay. I have been having e-mail server problems.

Sorry, no grills were ever made for those.

They didn't need grills for protection and adding one negatively altered the response.

We thought that model looked pretty good without them at the time.

Thanks for the info Danny. I think they look great w/o them too, but my wife is in disagreement. Was hoping maybe the AV1 grills would work on them when not in use...

That can often be a problem. Many concessions have been made for this very reason.

Some wives might be inclined to cover the whole speaker with a little piece of fabric (like a little table cloth) that covers most of the front of it, and put a trinkie what not on top of it.

I learned long ago to pick only the battles that you can win and give in on the little stuff.

Buy them as you will not in any shape or form be even remotely disappointed with the P1s. If it's the pair on Agone with stands it's an audio NO BRAINER
