The guy is actually bringing them here later today and I'm going to get a chance to try them out in my own room and my own system before I buy them - how cool is that? I'm really hoping they give me the tube flavor I'm looking for while retaining the dynamics and detail of some of the SS stuff.
Thats the way to do it. Plus, you will hear them already broken in, hopefully with good tubes.

I originally powered my NX-Tremes with an Elekit TU-8600S 300B SET tube amp.  I loved the sound of that amp but got distortion when I tried to play rock music too loud.  A friend with NX-Tremes suggested I try D-Sonic amps. Since they had a 30-day return policy, I ordered the M3a-600M 800W mono blocks.  Immediately out of the box, I could hear no difference between the 300B and the D-Sonics.  But when I turned up the volume, no distortion and much more dynamics.  I could hear the impact of drumsticks on drum heads, the snap of a bass drum, and plucking of strings in a way that I hadn't heard before.

I took the D-Sonics to my brother's house.  He has a TU-8600S that I built for him and NX-Oticas.  His room is smaller than mine.  When we swapped out the amps, we could hear no difference except at volumes that he would hardly ever listen at.  His 300B amp is adequate for his room size so he doesn't feel the need to replace it.

I envy all you guys who build these really nice amps.  After I retire, I may try that.  However, I was afraid that I would spend all that time and money and not like the sound as much as my 300B.  I ordered the D-Sonics because the 30-day refund policy removed that risk for me.  In the end, I am thrilled that I got that sweet 300B sound with 800W per channel.

I have seen but not heard the D-Sonic stuff. Have you ever found out what module that uses? The older ones are ICE but monos are not disclosed.

I found many reports/posts/reviews that say they use Pascale modules.

Visually those look like what is in the interior photos.

I am starting to lean towards some Van Alstine DVA M225 monoblocks. Seeing all the class D stuff at nearly the same price is kinda putting this over the line for me. I can do an XA60.8 if I am not happy, but it would be a lot less and they are getting a lot of love.

I don't suppose anyone here has tried these yet?

I use Purifi based amplification with my NX Studios and it's really impressive, especially with a Topping Pre90 as the preamplifier in the system. The Pass amps have more distortion but use the distortion to be pleasing in a similar way that tubes do. I would get the most powerful, more transparent, lowest distortion amplifier you possibly can get and then play with the preamplifier to find the right amount of 'sweetness' you might want added into the system via tubes or a certain house sound. The Purifi amplifiers are state of the art and plenty powerful, there's also a new module being released that has more current and I believe higher wattage.

Totally agree. I just acquired a Purifi amp and with a tube preamp, it's a perfect match.

For people that are using the Purify amps, are you using input buffers, and which ones?

I have one, great amp. Mine has the Sparkos Labs SS78 and SS79 Discrete Voltage Regulators, and the Sparkos SS2590 Pro discrete opamps. Yes, great amp for the money. But I always don't need all the power, so I also run a First Watt F7. Beautiful amp.

I see lots of Folsom stuff on places like Canuck audio mart, but have never been able to find the real site. The name is just too common - anyone have a link?

Interesting to hear all the class D fans coming out. Surprised no one has tried AVA. I may look harder at some of the class D options now.

I’ve been eying these for some time now. US based company that makes Purifi and Hypex amps with different buffer choices. https://vtvamplifier.com/

My Purifi amp came from VTV. Sparkos buffers and WBT binding posts. I thought it was a good value. I have been thinking of trying the Weiss buffers. Just curious.

FYI that I just ordered the new 225 monoblocks from Van Alstine. We will see how they do, but Frank Van Alstine claims they should be able to handle the complex impedence curve.

I am pretty intrigued with the Purifi options, but I am going to hold those for a project to build an amp from scratch. Likely something with a LPS and the newer higher-poweted purifi modules, but that can wait until I have free time again.

I will report back how well they mate soon!

I ordered a Topping pa5 last week because I saw that it actually beat the Purifi amps across the board in measured performance and I was curious. I must say this thing is sounding really good. It does not sound like a class D amp at all.

Interesting. I have been interested but have been avoiding the Chinese gear so far. I will be interested to hear how you like it over time as (if I recall) you have a big amp stable.

There are drawbacks. I had a Topping E30 dac for my computer, that died. Had an Aiyima A08 for my computer, that died (one killed the other in the process).
