MEMO: To All Bryston Customers
SUBJECT: Bryston Retrofit – Music For Life
This old Bryston 4B amplifier from the early 80's came in for a complete service and rehab.
This old 4B has never had it's top off from new till yesterday and still was working like a champ for the last 40+ years.
It will go back to the customer a little cleaner inside and with a complete overhaul for another 40 years of music.
This amp got a new upgraded power supply, new power switch and a few other goodies. The input board was tested to spec, requiring only a new power cord.
The output channels got new resistors and capacitors to bring everything back to factory specification.
The customer will undoubtedly be happy with the results 👍

Hi James,
I guess this is why you have such a loyal customer base as its simply amazing that a hifi company will and can service a 40 year old product.
I am sure the owner is really happy with the outcome of the refurbishment of his amp.
Cheers Rod

Curious what that sort of overhaul would cost?

I sent a pair of late 80's 4B's in for retrofit a couple of years back. They are now both configured as mono blocks pushing a pair of large subwoofers. Sounds great, and with this configuration i can assure you I have never seen either amp clip!

I'm looking to send in my three amps (two 7B ST's and one 6B) and my BP-25 preamp for a checkup and/or repairs soon.
