Can you tell the size of the port that you created? diameter and lenght?

Sure. There are two ports per speaker. Inner dimensions of each port are…

4.5cm wide

8cm long

Here is an update; Additional wooden bracing has just been added to the ‘bass chamber’ sections of my Beolab 1 speaker cabinet. This will help to further reduce the internal cabinet vibrations, which will provide cleaner sound quality at loud volume levels.

I also just built this DIY interconnect to link my Beolab 1 speakers to the Beosound 3000 hifi unit. High purity 99.999% copper Kimber PR 19awg wire was used for this, which was very tricky to fit into the NEUTRIK Din plugs. But I eventually managed to do so in the end…
