Hi, I'm living in western MI now, moved around the state a bit during my years. I remember when I was young, my uncle had a Pioneer quadrophonic system he ordered from the PX while still in Vietnam. All that equipment with lights, switches and knobs made an impression on young me! Been hooked ever since.

I'm from South Haven.

I got Sansui speakers and a Sansui receiver in my local PX near Da Nang, 1970. The complex of PX, clubs, USO, and the like was called "Freedom Hill" on the northern outskirts of the city on Highway 1.   The speakers are long gone, but the receiver still sits on a shelf in my garage.  Last time I fired it up, unfortunately one channel was out.
