Below is a picture of my last pair of the RAM40-M mono bloc amplifiers. I bought out the last 7 pair of these amps to be modified and sold as a custom offering. These were my personal demo units that are just under a year old. I would estimate about 60-75 hours of use.
Providing 40 watts in Pentode and approximately 25 watts in Triode. All coupling capacitors are Theta AudioCaps bypassed with smaller value SoniCaps. Innerstage coupling capacitors between the 6SN7s are AuriCaps. All resistors replaced with Dale/Vishay 1 watt RN series. Harris "Ultra Fast-Soft Recovery" diodes and bypass capacitors in the power supply. These are a tweaker's dream at their price. Originally sold for $1,800 pr. Even stock units were sold at $1,400 pr.
These are a tweaker's dream. At this price, one of you DIY'ers could completely rebuild them with your choice of components and have one hell of a pair of amplifiers. They will come with biasing instructions and recommended bias settings.
