I don't use FM at this point but when I had an old Sansui Tuner, I had him do the mods and restore it.

I no longer have any vintage tuners, but found the best source of info to be fmtunerinfo.com (including recommendations on good repair people; and a report on a huge shootout of vintage tuners).

I should add that I had Bill Ammons in Phoenix restore and modify a Sansui TU9900 about 10 years ago and would highly recommend him but I’m not sure he still does this kind of work ( and I no longer have his contact info).

I used this guy back in 2017 to restore my TU-999, listening to it right now. Cost was $233 and turn around wasn't too bad.
