Little Fish is about the romance of Emma and Jude during an outbreak of NIA, a Neuroinflammatory Affliction, which causes memory loss. The film is a slow sweet love story taking place in the middle of an epidemic that is slowly robbing them of friends and family. Little Fish takes place in the near future and is beautifully filmed in Seattle and British Columbia, Canada.
Little Fish is not a manipulative tearjerker as the plot suggests but a sometimes profound story about life, love and remembering all the little moments.
Emma is played by Olivia Cooke who was also in the excellent "
Sound of Metal"
Jude is played by Jack O'Connell, a good natural actor although I haven't seen him in any film yet. He is also in "
Starred Up" which has a 99% RT rating.
Little Fish is a perfect date movie to watch with your significant other. Don't even think about fast forwarding through the slow spots or you will be sleeping alone.
