has anyone tried connecting the following to wadia 861's digital input?

1. digital output of a dvd player
2. digital output of a minidisc player

i doubt wadia would decode these signals but just want to make sure before upgrading.

I have a 830 w/ a digital input card.  You'll have to set your dvd player to output PCM.  It'll work, but you only get 2 channel.

now i am seriously thinking about upgrading my 861b, which is cheaper than getting my dream preamp to integrate movie watching with music system...
