There's a alignment tool to get it perfectly centered on your router. Hole sizes in 1/16" increments, and they are spot on. The problem I've had with other circle jigs is that it's always just a little off. So then I have to adjust, cut a trial circle, adjust, cut, etc. until I get it right. With this style jig you'll get it right the first time if you set it up properly (which is very simple and easy).

Thanks Hollis.

I will look into getting one. I will never be using the drill cutter thingy again free hand.

Nice-looking build - the white in particular looks sharp. I really wish there were someone who could make at least front baffles affordably in Oz. Not having my own router (or woodworking skill) is the main obstacle to my building something like this.

PS I live in Melbourne and know about companies like Aranmar, but from what I've seen I can't afford their services for a one-off build.
Buy a flat pack from Peter Rawlings, they cost about $150 or so plus shipping, look him up on U tube

Backyard Rez...lol

Do you just glue acoustic foam to a floor tile and glue it to the inside of the speaker? What kind of tile do you use? I have some old speakers I'm refurbished and do not want to use no Rez...but Backyard Rez...yes, that sounds perfect.

That'd be "FauxRez" made by ACE (aww, close enough) Speaker Supply.

Remember that there's two things combined in NoRez. Damping layer and the Stuffing layer. They're connected for convenience, but really don't have to be. Use the densest vinyl or even linoleum floor you can find for cabinet wall damping. Acoustic foam, f-glass, polyfill, etc. for the stuffing.

Converted to Australian $ and shipping is about $800 by the time it reaches Sydney. The flatpacks are heavy. I would if shipping and the Aussie $ was better.

You buy the floor tiles with self adhesive backing but I used a glue as well to stick it to the Plywood. The acoustic foam comes with a peelable self adhesive backing. No need for glue as it is super sticky. :)

Hi Peter,
FauxRez indeed. :) I think that NoRez would most likely be better and easier to use as it is cut and stick. I used linoleum floor tiles with self adhesive backing and sound damping foam with self adhesive backing. Works very well.
