I can say I have used the BR-20 USB input with:
PC several different systems over the years including a nUC on enhaced power supply.
Raspberry Pi 3 and 4 with enhanced power supply. BR-20 streamer definitely sounds better.
Eversolo A6, A8, A6 gen2 sound very similar as streamers. Will be trying T8
Wiim Ultra that was bought for stereo 2 gave it quick listen and retuned to stereo 2

The Eversolo A6 gen2 is being used as a streamer for more functionality with streaming services. I do miss the volume control that BR-20 provides in Roon.
A problem I have there is the A6 g2 is trigger out to trigger in on BR-20 to power up remotely. The BR-20 boots faster then A6 so need to switch away from USB and back before A6 will detect BR-20 USB port.
Presently use A6 G2 with both a coaxial spdif Cardas Parsec cable and Cardas Clear 1m USB.
Other then what was mentioned above I have never had detection problem beyond above with the replacement BR-20 or previous one.

Received the T8 and running it to BR-20 with a Cardas AES Clear .5m I purchased at half price from someone who needed a 1m cable in their new cabinet.

Have to say I like the sound better than with the Cardas USB Clear. At this point thats a minor improvement. Find it touch warmer, more spacious in depth and width of soundstage. I have compared it to a baseline Monoprice AES no comparison sound wise. Put it on Buy Nothing.

You can use Apple Music with Eversolo devices but have to say the interface is a little more clunky than Qobuz or Tidal. If doing it you need to make sure to use the App (from app section not streaming) to get above 16/44 actually BR-20 does 32/44. You are also stuck controlling it in Cast (Now called Screen) feature. Qobuz offered me $400 plan upgrade for 4 years of service and I abandoned Apple Music.

My question to Bryston is how much room do I need above BR-20? It never seems to gets hot or even warm. Presently have about 1” between it and shelve that T8 is on and would give more slack with cable.

BTW
For those thinking of a BR-20 purchase don’t let this post detract you from purchase the streamer in BR-20 has served me well since 2021. One thing it and Roon can’t help you do is play SACD iso’s directly without ripping to DSF per song files.
Interestingly enough when I listen to my SACD iso rips I do prefer still prefer USB connection. Maybe its the Native light turning on ;-)

For Apple Music you can also hook iPad or iPhone up directly to USB on BR-20 and have some control from your Apple Watch. Haven’t tried for a year or more

Enjoy the music
