Up for sale is my top-of-the-line, current model Metrum Pavane Level 3 DAC in silver.
This is a fully non-oversampling R2R DAC recognized for its room-filling holographic soundstage, defined and authoritative bass, treble purity, spookily realistic midband texture and timbre, and – most importantly – an emotionally involving sound completely free of digital artifice.
The Pavane L3 easily beat the PS Audio Directstream, Lampizator Atlantic TRP, Chord HugoTT2, MSB Discrete, and Aqua La Scala Optologic MK2 when tested in my system. If you're reading this, you likely appreciate that the Pavane avoids the listening fatigue and electronic veiling so often experienced with non-R2R designs, and it sounds distinctly and truly organic.
Selling to finance an embarrassingly expensive turntable upgrade, hence offering this reference quality Pavane Level 3 for a song to shore up some of those losses until I can afford another one.
My Metrum Acoustics Pavane L3 is less than a year old, an original Level 3 (not upgraded from an earlier model), and is rated conservatively 7/10 for very light cosmetic nicks on minute inspection; no major dents, scuffs, or scratches. It is a beautiful DAC in every way; its operation is flawless (and blissful), and build quality is sky high.
