And, another DIY set in the wild.  ESR paper under the heat shrink.  Connectors are Blue Jeans Cable locking bananas.  Easily swapped to something else if needed.  I opted to use 1/4" cotton rope instead of the 1/2" to keep them a bit more manageable.

I'll give a first listen tonight.

If you replace those high mass banana plugs with the male tube connector ends you will pick up some added clarity across the board.

I am aware.  I may later.  I would lose the flexibility of easily changing the connectors though.  I have the tube connectors you shipped with the Allies.

I went ahead and replaced the locking bananas with the tube connectors.  Ta da!\

I notice that the male tube connectors make decent contact with traditional binding posts.  They just don't go all the way in.  What do you think about cutting the appropriate amount of the tip off the male connector to make a better fit with binding posts?  Not quite a complete TC set, but lower mass than the locking plugs.  I'm not going to go as far as replacing the binding posts on the amps.
