Would a newer , better router give us better WiFi connection when outside our house ?
My wife was looking at a new router for $215!! Yikes !!
Can anyone recommend a new router that works great and is less expensive?

Possibly but a mesh network with one of satellites nearest to where you want outside coverage would probably be better. It's still going to cost you at least $150+/-.

There is a much cheaper option which is to simply buy an extender for your existing router. Less than $50.

What do you have now as a router and how fast do you want the outside connection to be meaning are you going to be surfing the web or gaming outside?
