If you're reading this then you probably already know the Roy Cizek story and his amazing speakers. I bought these along with a pair of model 2's a few years ago from the original owner and now that I'm retired it's time to clear out more stuff. Since I've also got the larger Model 2's, here are the 3's for sale.
Actually, on the labels on the back there is a 3A prefix on the serial numbers, so I guess that these are model 3A's.
Working ConditionThese work and sound superb. The woofers have been refoamed and I recently cleaned the tweeter level controls, which is actually a little tricky.
Cosmetic ConditionThese are in very nice condition. The original owner had put a lighter colored shelf paper on the cabinet in order to appease his wife, which I peeled off as soon as I got them home. There are only a few scratches to the vinyl veneer, the corners and edges of the cabinets are quite nice. Amazingly, the foam grilles are also in excellent condition, showing no signs of deterioration.
