No, your description makes sense. So, the midbass will take a larger share of the midbass (if that makes sense!), which should lessen the share done by the ribbons. That would have to be good, I assume. I know that the midbass is an area where the RM40s have been discussed as being not so good, but mine seem to pretty good in that area -- there's a song from Steve Earl (I forget which one) where the midbass really seems to be tight and defined. What's strange, too, is that the midbass seemed to improve when I again my RM40s full range instead of having them crossed over, so maybe my processor has an effect on that also.
