No, your description makes sense.  So, the midbass will take a larger share of the midbass (if that makes sense!), which should lessen the share done by the ribbons.  That would have to be good, I assume.  I know that the midbass is an area where the RM40s have been discussed as being not so good, but mine seem to pretty good in that area -- there's a song from Steve Earl (I forget which one) where the midbass really seems to be tight and defined.  What's strange, too, is that the midbass seemed to improve when I again my RM40s full range instead of having them crossed over, so maybe my processor has an effect on that also.

Let's see where to begin.Fortunately so far don't need to play with putty.
Voices in the sound stage seem realisticly lower. Can't explain it.
Mids, bass, treble and all instuments seem more tactfull.
Definately tighter and more coherent bass

No everything is more analog like . Really.
Jamie Cullum cd  which is outstannig is even better.

Brian, your the man!
Lastest incarnation of40s can't be touched, especially those awfully beautiful maples I was drooling over at first.

First rate Brian!

I'll be getting my HYdra 2 tomorrow. Can you all imagine?l

Brian,

Easter Sunday has resurrected my hope for getting the upgrade parts.  Is it possible to get the woofers and caps by the end of April so that I can install them and listen to Mahalia by Pentecost?

I don't have mine yet, but I'm (or Brian's) waiting for TRT caps.

I just got the final shipment from my upgrades today.  Thanks BC/JC!

Was there ever any documentation to the FST upgrade, like with the MW upgrade?  I didn't see any pages inside the FST shipment.   I search this board to see if I can find anything.
