i would greatly appreciate your experiences with tube rolling on jadis amps.

currently i am using stock tubes that came with the jadis ja30:
GE 12AU7
Ei 12AX7 (not sure)
Ei KT90

i love the midrange and bass from my current setup. but i am looking to further tame the treble and enhance the midrange, if possible. it seems mullards cv4003 and cv4004 might fit the bill. any other suggestions?

thanks!!!
scottie

Although I have absolutlely no experience with the equipment that you are using, I do have experience with 12ax7's in both my cdp and hybrid mono block amps. After trying ei's ,svetlanas, and a couple other x7's, I decided to go the 5751 route. If your looking to tame treble and enhance mids, I would suggest looking into Raytheon blackplate, windmill getter 5751's. Not detailed enough in the highs for my rig, but did just what your describing to the sound. They are quite expensive, though, and of course, you may not get the same results.

First off, I don't know your equipment either, but I had the same experience as markC regarding the 12ax7's.  The Raytheon 5751 was a noticeable improvement over the various 12ax7's I own and is my favorite so far.  I took a risk and purchased a reasonably priced one on ebay from a guy in Turkey.  It took 6 weeks to get here, but it works great.

BTW, I found that JJ's work well and are inexpensive tubes, especially the 12au7 variety.  I found their sound to be more balanced than the Ei golds I have.

Joe's Tube Lore at this link is a great resource for choosing preamp tubes.
