I ordered the kit for these and because they are going to be sitting on a bookshelf we think a sealed version is better.  My question is do I build these with the rear port then plug the port or a sealed back panel?  If plug, what material do I use?  Thanks, Mike

Build the ported version and stuff with a foam ball.  Or a rolled up sock.

Mike, in addition you could use something like this to plug port. Not pretty, but maybe it doesn't matter if not visible.

I'd build it with the port and plug it if the bass is too boomy. That way, if you move them to another location in the future where they are farther away from a wall, you can unplug the ports.
