For anyone thinking about buying this this tube buffer pre-amp, she is well worth having!

I have a similar (if not the exact same) Dodd preamp with lighter wood grain. I also use a car battery ( it is not needed) which sits out of site behind my hifi cabinet. The one time I spoke with Mr. Dodd, he said the more current the better, so I took him at his word. All I have to say is put on your (Diana Krall, Miles, Roy Hargrove, Ella, etc...) via your best source going through this pre-amp into Odysey monos  and you will unwind. The volume (on mine) can be aggressive so I generally do not use the remote. The HT bypass is useful if you have an integrated reciever that you use for movies but would like to leave out of the picture when doing more critical listening. Simple and sweet is how I would sum it up.

I have one and love it. Whoever buys it will be very pleased. I use it to run a Dodd battery
15 watt battery amp. Great combo. I also paid a lot more than the one in the ad.
