Red Wine Audio is here!
« on: 17 Feb 2005, 01:31 pm »
Hi everyone,

I am very excited to announce that my new company, Red Wine Audio Inc., is ALIVE!  :D

I want to give a big “thank you” to all of you who have given me your interest and support during this start-up phase.

Also, I want to give special thanks to AudioCircle for providing us all with such a pleasant environment to exchange news, ideas, and experiences with fellow hobbyists.

While this may sound a tad corny, without this website and the members here, I would not have even dreamt of starting up my new company.
This has been a dream I had for a while now, and it is finally coming true.

I am really looking forward to this!  Thanks again!

Sincerely,

jermmd

Congratulations.  Am I right in assuming the Clari-T amp is an integrated amp as it has a volume control and speaker binding posts?  I'm not up on battery powered amps.  With the recharger, how long will the battery last?  What sensitivity for speakers is recommended for this amp?

Hi Joe,

Thanks for your kind words.

The Clari-T-Amp can be purchased with or without the passive volume control.

Regarding battery charging, I added a new section to my website that discusses this in detail:

After reading it, if you still have any questions, feel free to email me.

Greetings Vinnie,
Congrats on the startup. Wish you the best of luck. Just out of curiosity, what type of product lines are you going to be offering modifications for.

Thanks Bill!

I plan to offer modifications for a variety of "non-tubed" equipment.  For example...cd/dvd players, dacs, amplifiers, etc. that do not use tubes.

Also, I do not plan to add tubes to equipment that does not use tubes.

Okay then, you're safe. Just kidding. Sounds like you will be concentrating on solid state/digital gear. Let me know when you come up with a nice modified DAC at a "reasonable" price. I am in the market for a decent piece to have around. Not for resale but rather to have in one of my systems for comparison reasons. I would have no problem telling customers where it came from as I do not deal with any DACs. I miss the Birdlands.

Yes! Yes! Yes! I bow down to you for following your dreams. Cherish this time and continued success and keep rolling out "product of the year equipment" like the clari t.

What a wonderful amplifier you have made. I haven't been this excited in my 15 plus years as an audio nut. The unit surprises me everytime i turn it on for it's sheer majesty and beauty of tone.

You have my support in all future endeavors.

Thanks,
smargo

How about modifying a 400 disc Sony CD or DVD player to make it an exceptional transport?  I love my multidisc player and need it's random play mode.  If only it was the equal to one of the high end transports I've used for critical listening...

Could Vinnie (or anyone) mod a big changer like that to run off batteries?

Good luck Vinnie! Great amp that keeps getting better.

Vinnie,

Looks like I'm not the only one who has encouraged you along the way.  Great to see all the support for such a great guy who has already given so much to the audio community.  Thanks for all the help and advice you've given me during the past year or so.  No one would have been as patient and helpful.  I wish you the greatest success and lots of fun in your new business, Red Wine Audio.  What a great achievement... to be able to make a living doing what you truly love and enjoy. Congrats!  :)

Good for you for taking a solid stab at running your own show my friend - it will be both challenging and rewarding, but I am confident that your evident dedication will help you build a loyal following, since the product that you have released is pleasing so many!

Now, back to the lab with you!

Have fun, and keep us up to date,

Hi Joe M. and Max,

I would need to take a look inside one of these changers to see what could be done.  There may or may not be a lot of potential for improvement, but I am willing to look into this if one could be sent to me

Feel free to email me about this... I'm game!  :hyper:
