Highly acclaimed Von Schweikert VR4Jr’s in beautiful African Hazlewood finish. These are truly wonderful speakers and sound amazing with a wide variety of music. I listen to everything from jazz, blues, classical, indie, alternative, electronic, classic rock, female vocal, etc. Functionally and cosmetically they are in terrific condition. I bought them a year ago from the original owner and both of us have cared for them lovingly. I have decided to move back to low wattage tube amps so these will no longer work for me.
These speakers were not filled with lead shot or sand but have a specially designed compartment hidden under plinth for this purpose if desired. According to all reviews, this one tweak takes these to a completely higher level. I never tried that but did, however, add outriggers with brass cones (great for leveling!) and the Herbie Audio Labs cone/spike decoupling gliders. They are for sale separately but can be combined for a reasonable offer, and are visible in the attached photos.
One of the l-pads on the rear ambience tweeters is a bit scratchy when adjusting but not when playing. One of the umbilicals has some fraying on the cable cover but it does not effect the sound when I tested them.
These are available for local sale (45431) or may be shipped, but the shipping costs will be high due their weight. I do have the original boxes/wooden crates and the original felt socks. I am willing to drive a bit for full price offers.

$2,250 $2,000 $1800 plus shipping.
