This might not get many responses, but jazz sax legend Jimmy Heath passed at 93 today.
A mentor to Trane amongst many other things.

Sad to hear this news. Jimmy Heath was a great player and band leader. Glad he made it to 93.

Saw that online. Just glad I was able to see him at an Smithsonian Jazz Masters induction.
