Has anyone heard the Jolida JD-50?  4 inputs and remote controlled for $250.  This is a steal if it sounds good.  Anyone?

One vote for the Luminous Audio. Very transparent  sound lets you hear the differences in cables. Cheap too! The upgraded unit costs $165 shipped. Only downside is that it has only 1 input.

I continue to enjoy using a 10K DACT CT2 stepped attenuator.  Very reasonable used price on Audiogon when you can find them.  Also, you can't go wrong with the Little Wonder passive which now offers 3 or 4 selection options and a remote.  I probably don't have to mention this, but system matching, impedance and capacitance, cable length are signicant issues THAT CANNOT BE IGNORED.  I would own the Placette if I had the $$$.  I know that Frank (AVA) doesn't like passives, and he certainly has lots of audio savy to back up his opinions.  AVA produces great stuff... no doubt about it.  And, besides, Frank's just a good guy who's given much to our hobby.  About all I can say is that I'm happy using a passive in my simple, single source system.  Just my two cents!

LW1 "Little Wonder" is a great passive pre.  Inexpensive too.

This pre-amp by FT Audio is fantastic, I own the LW1 Series 2 version and could not be happier.
