FOR SALE:
I am selling my pair of Von Schweikert Audio VR-2 floorstanding speakers. I am the original owner and purchased these new from an authorized dealer in 2004. They have been well cared for in a smoke-free home. The wood is in mostly excellent condition. I have rated the speakers 7/10 because of a couple of minor dings (please see photos). The grills are intact, but on one of the grills, all but one of the grill pegs are broken.
I have truly enjoyed these speakers since owning them and have powered them over the years with both solid state and tube amps - they sound fantastic with either. However, because of space constraints, I am moving to smaller speakers.
Asking $725 or best offer. Speakers come with original grills, spikes, velvet covers, and original owner's manual. At my asking price, I will also include a pair of MIT AVT2 speaker cables, the ones I used with these speakers.
These speakers weigh 66 pounds each, so these are for local pickup only. If in the surrounding Boston area, I would be willing to meet within a 10-15 mile radius.
