For sale is my beautifully tube preamp hand build by Garry Dodd.Its absolutely gorgeous,works perfectly and sound awesome.The preamp received a lot of love for it’s pure sound, dynamics,clear,detailed and lack of noise.If you like silent passages to be silent this preamp may be for you.
Front panel and sides are rosewood and top is chrome stainless steel.It used a nice hand carved wooden remote for volume control.This is the full size preamp that’s retail for 3300 $ and was bought from Underwood HIFI.
This is a tube battery preamp using 4x12 V charged by a 24 V charger.It has 4 stereo input labeled CD, AUX1,AUX 2,AUX 3 plus a HT home theater bypass that operates with the unit in the OFF position(save tubes life)It has also 2 output for biamping or adding a subwoofer.It has a low output impedance of only 200 ohms and will therefore work with virtually all power amps.Parts quality is world class with Vampire wire,Cardas jacks and Sonicaps bypassed with Platinum Sonicaps at the outputs. You don’t need to deal with power conditiong and expensive power cord because this preamp runs directly from internal batteries.The replacement battery can be purchased online from Amazon for 18$ x4 .The preamp is in excellent functional and cosmetic condition,except the stainless steel cover does not fit perfectly onto the chassis and need a little pushing to be screwed in and is missing 5 small screws for the top cover from a total of 10 screws,the unit came this way,please check the latest pic for more details.
