I'm going to be adding a Minimax pre to my system but need HT bypass mod.  I'm planning to purchase the pre on the used market.  Can you recommend someone to perform this mod?

Please let us know what luck you have w/ this mod Christof.  There is a VERY good chance I'd snag one of those puppies if it had this feature.  audiojerry (generously) lent me his for a weekend and it sounded fantastic in my system (IMHO).

The "pick an input and turn up the volume the volume" technique is simply not sufficiently family friendly for me.

Nope.  I've got a list of contacts now thanks to input from this thread & the PM's I've gotten as a result.  I think I might try Bill Baker 1st but need to finish up some speaker cabs to get some spending bread before I do anything else audio.

Chris Johnson at www.partsconnexion.com can add a HT bypass to any preamp
