There are some brands of headphones that tend to be more difficult loads and others that are not. In general, Sennheiser and Beyerdynamic headphones tend to be harder loads whereas Grado and Audio Technica tend to be easier loads. Most typical consumer headphones tend to be easy loads as they are designed to work with anything including portable players (and many consumers think ones that can play louder are better).
