Hi How would such a large heavy cap do as a cap for a 1st order single cap tweeter filter? Is bypassing say 4uf large cap like this be beneficial ? If so what value , does super fast 0.01uf makes any sense as a bypass?

What order crossover they are used in is not a factor. And there still may be some benefit from a small by-pass cap.

Thank you Danny.
I do use 3.9uf Mundorf Supreme + 0.33uf German Copper foil +0.01uf Mundorf Silver Oil all in parallel , as only part of a crossover for the tweeter .
Speakers did disapear and highs are super clean and airy but bit too recessed for my ultimate satisfaction.
Do you think having 3 caps in parallel is ok or should I try single cap like this Copper or maybe 4uf Miflex copper KPCU ???  Speaker is B&W 686s2.

I have found the Silver and oil caps to have a bit of a sharp edge and at the same time they tend to truncate or damp out the very top octave. But maybe as a by-pass cap those attributes are less prominent.

When by-passing I like to limit the size to a .1uF or smaller.

The Copper caps would definitely take the sharpness out of that tweeter and smooth it out a little.

Thank you for your observation, I guess it can be a bit of trial and error test to get the balance right .
I almost wish I could have more forwardness to the soundstage now as it sounds rather recessed and drawn more to the back what makes it sound almost too calm and less in front detail that i like on most recordings.
Before I do anything I will wait for my power amp to be updated by John at Musical Concepts , his power amp modules with Mosfets and dual mono latest drive stage modulss should be pretty magical and with Jensen 4 pole power caps should guarantee super low noise and very dynamic and detailed presentation so afteAFr hearing it I will give my speakers final cap tune up 😉

Interesting they start at 5uf, and not below! It's often hard to get larger caps that are the "good stuff". Nice to see a very new product to GR!

If you need 4uf you can always use 2 x 2uf for even lower esr. If im not mistaken.
How do these huge and heavy copper caps sound in the tweeter filter in comparison to Sonicap you like to use...?
I know it is 10x the price so we got to be fair .

These Copper caps are on another performance level, and of coarse at another price level.

Of course 500usd per set of 2 pcs is a lot of money amd maybe overkill for some systems...  it would be great to try it with some great tweeter 😉
Did you experimented with small bypass say 0.1uf on top of Sonicaps you offer?
Also are these new copper caps kind of like Miflex KCPU Copper ?
4uf Miflex weights over 2lbs each and its size is huge so it may change volume of the box of say mini monitor , so i thought to try it outside of the box on a little shelf mount behind the speaker....  if that would yield significant performance gain?   I did not hear of anyone trying it yet?
