BG NEO10 status

For all the work with BG NEO3 and NEO10 drivers, I have tested them along the way. There have been poorly performing or bad units that were returned for replacement.

All the units I have are tested before use to make sure they are correctly working.

Just spotted that PE has updated the delivery date to 12/18/19 for the BG NEO10's.

Hope Danny gets good news on his side.

I didn't know PS Audio is using Neo3s and Neo 10 in their new speakers. This might at least partially explain the shortages.

No, they haven't ordered enough to amount to anything. They are also buying them from Parts Express.

I just got another set of measurements on the latest Neo 10 version, and it looked good. Samples will now be made and sent to me.

How long does that process take?

It varies from company to company on how fast they can produce a production run of drivers once a PO has been submitted. I'll keep you guys up to date.

Will your NEO10 version be swappable for the original NEO10? Stated another way, will you need to modify the Super 7 crossover to accommodate your NEO10 version?

Physically they are the same frames. But whether or not they can be swapped with no crossover adjustment needed is not something I can answer yet.

Shoot! I may have spoken too soon since I just looked up the B&G Neo10 FR graph from Parts Express. I suppose one can cross off the lowpass and highpass at strategic places to avoid the worst frequency response ranges, but still...
